Central South University (CSU) and the University of Dundee (UoD) signed a cooperation framework agreement to start cooperation in various fields, such as talent training and joint research
Wendy Alexander, Vice Principal of UoD, visited CSU to start cooperation discussions to jointly establish the institute
Hu Yuehua, Former Executive Vice President of CSU, visited UoD to further promote institutional collaboration
Pete Downes, Principal of UoD, visited CSU to discuss cooperation details
Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, met with the President of CSU, Tian Hongqi, and witnessed the signing of the Letter of Intent on Research Cooperation between the two universities
Yi Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of CSU, visited UoD to sign a Letter of Intent to create a joint research institute between the two universities and promote the declaration of a Chinese–foreign cooperative education institute
President of CSU, Tian Hongqi, visited UoD to advance the institute's declaration of cooperation
Wendy Alexander, Vice Principal of UoD, visited CSU again to promote the application of the cooperative institute
An agreement between CSU and UoD was formally signed creating a Chinese–foreign cooperative educational institute
The Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China approved the establishment of Dundee International Institute of Central South University
The first group of students were admitted
