Highly qualified teaching staff:

We have a team of academicians, national leading talents, national young talents, and provincial and ministerial level major talents. These include 1 academician from the Chinese Engineering Academy, 2 national leading talents, 3 national young talents, 9 national high-end foreign experts, 6 academics supported by the Programme for New Century Excellent Talents in University, 1 innovation team of "Rail Transit Safety Key Technology" of the Ministry of Education, 1 Innovation team in key areas of the Science and Technology Innovation Talent Promotion Programme of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 Hunan Teaching Team of "Innovative Talent Training in Rail Transportation". Notably, we have had the honour of winning National Professional Talent Advanced Group once.

We have high-level disciplinary platforms, including the Collaborative Innovation Centre for Rail Transit Safety 2011, National & Local Joint Engineering Research Centre of Safety Technology for Rail Vehicle, Joint International Research Laboratory of Key Technology for Rail Traffic Safety, Key Laboratory of Traffic Safety on Track Ministry of Education (CSU), Smart Transportation Key Laboratory of Hunan Province, Hunan Key Laboratory of "Big Data for Rail Transportation", Hunan Engineering Laboratory of "Safety Protection Technology for Rail Vehicles Collision", Hunan Science Popularization Base of "Advanced Rail Transit", the first batch of National Science Popularization Education Base for "Rail Transit" of the China Association for Science and Technology, and the National 985 Science and Technology Innovation platform for Rail Transit Safety, etc.

Degree Programmes and Postdoctoral Research Stations：

We have a postdoctoral station in transportation engineering, a doctoral (master's) programme in transportation engineering and six doctoral (master's) programmes in transportation planning and management, vehicle operation engineering, transportation information engineering and control, logistics engineering, transportation equipment and information engineering, and urban rail transportation engineering.
