To further advance the high-quality development of DIICSU and strengthen the effectiveness of collaborative education between both sides, DIICSU held its first working meeting of the Virtual Teaching Sections for Academic Year 2026–2027 on 14 October 2026. Present at the meeting were Gao Dongbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of DIICSU; Gao Guangjun, Dean of DIICSU; Andrei Pisliakov, Executive Vice Dean of DIICSU. Also in attendance were Heads of Teaching Sections: Gao Chengde, Wang Jiabin, Sheng Jinfang, Li Jun, Li Xinye and Deng Jun; Zhang Shanshan from the Academic Affairs Office of DIICSU; and Ouyang Yingzi, Project Manager from the University of Dundee (UoD).
At the start of the meeting, each Head of Teaching Section reported on recent progress. Participants held thorough discussions on the programme curriculum, covering curriculum design, contact hour allocation and the refinement of teaching content.

Gao Guangjun outlined priorities for teaching work in the next phase. He encouraged teaching staff to conduct research based on approved cluster teaching reform projects and strive to produce high-quality papers on pedagogical innovation. He also called for orderly delivery of tasks including year-4 honours projects coordination, organisation of Staff-Student Liaison Committee (SSLC) meetings and revision of module specifications.
Gao Dongbo noted that the virtual teaching sections constitute a key pillar of DIICSU’s teaching development. All teaching sections should maintain momentum, strengthen communication and collaboration between CSU and international teaching staff, systematically map curriculum knowledge points, clarify the internal logic of modules, and steadily improve the programme curriculum.

The meeting addressed practical challenges arising from teaching delivery within the Institute, built consensus between CSU and UoD teaching staff, and refined action plans, setting clear direction for forthcoming work. Moving forward, all teaching sections will implement the assignments of this meeting item by item, uphold accountability, and comprehensively enhance the quality of talent development of DIICSU.
