On 11 April, Prof. Iain Gillespie, Principal and Vice Chancellor of the University of Dundee (UoD), paid a visit to Dundee International Institute of Central South University (DIICSU) together with Vice Principal (Research) Prof. Lisanne Gibson, Vice Principal (Education) Prof. Blair Grubb, Dean of SSEN Prof. Fordyce Davidson, and Judy Finlay, Director of China of the UoD.

Dr. Gao Dongbo, Secretary of the Party Branch of DIICSU, Prof. Gao Guangjun, Dean of DIICSU, and heads of relevant offices received the delegation.

During the meeting, Principal Iain Gillespie spoke highly of the diligent work delivered by the leadership team and all staff at DIICSU, extended his sincere gratitude to them, and voiced his anticipation for the institute’s vigorous development. Dr. Gao Dongbo stated that DIICSU would further refine its operational mechanisms for education delivery. Taking this China-UK joint-running institution as a platform, both universities will forge deeper and closer collaborative ties.

During the visit, Prof. Iain Gillespie presented Dundee Difference Awards Outstanding Support to Ouyang Yingzi, Project Manager at SSEN, UoD.

The UoD delegation also held separate meetings with DIICSU’s leadership team, teaching staff sent by UoD and student representatives.
