First Meeting of the Joint Management Committee of DIICSU Held

On December 14, the first meeting of the Joint Management Committee (hereinafter referred to as "JMC") of the Dundee International Institute of Central South University (hereinafter referred to as "DIICSU") was held via online video. The meeting was co-chaired by Chen Chunyang, Chairman of JMC and Vice President of CSU, and Wendy Alexander, Vice Chairman of JMC and Vice Principal (International) of the UoD.

At the meeting, representatives from the two universities respectively reported on the progress of work in personnel appointment, venue renovation and reconstruction, teaching staff selection and staff training, enrollment marketing, and other aspects. Subsequently, members of JMC proposed and voted to adopt proposals including the addition of committee members, the change of the title of the Executive Vice Dean, and the holding of the first Opening Ceremony of DIICSU in 2022. Chen Chunyang and Wendy Alexander jointly stated that the two sides would cooperate closely to build DIICSU into a model institute in the field of Sino-foreign cooperative education. Peng Manru, He Jun, Bai Yi, Zou Runmin, Yi Liang, JMC Members of CSU and José Fiadeiro, Andrew Munns, Jason Norris, JMC members of UoD, attended the meeting, with directors of relevant offices of both sides present as non-voting participants.

It is reported that DIICSU will start enrollment in 2022, with a planned annual enrollment of 300 students. Majors offered include Civil Engineering, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Computing Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering with Transportation.
